My last pair of leggings were also 2XU. They lasted over 15yrs, (they are still wearable) being worn a minimum of 2x/wk. Perfect amount of compression (but I like firm compression), and worked despite a 70lb weight swing. Only problem, no side pocket. I needed a more polished legging so I bought these. Although I was concerned since the compression setting is light, they are absolutely perfect along with having a side pocket. I will buy in any color once they go on sale. I did pay full price for the ones I have now, and for me they are worth it. For reference I am 57ys, 5"11, 165, 32" inseam. I ordered a Large (not tall) and they sit an inch or two above my ankle.
